Prenatal Yoga

Prenatal Yoga applies postures, breathing, and meditation to help sooth the challenges of pregnancy, and to prepare expectant mothers for both delivery and postpartum recuperation. Yoga has been shown to help alleviate many of the common complaints that occur during pregnancy such as heartburn, swelling, back pain and sciatica- while also bringing a deep awareness and a sense of joy at experiencing the natural changes that occur during these 9 months.

These classes will build strength, focus and flexibility through a gentle practice designed especially for the pregnant woman’s needs. Expect a combination of active, flowing poses as well as restorative poses to relax and re-energize. Simple breathing and meditation techniques will be introduced to support the practice and bring the attention inward. Prenatal Yoga classes provide a serene, supportive, community energy that will allow you to connect with other moms-to-be.Register for the workshop

Family Yoga

Yogis and yoginis come together in a lighthearted environment for individual, partner and family yoga fun! Age and developmentally appropriate yoga poses, animated breathing exercises and soothing relaxation techniques awaken the inner-child of all age participants. Laughter and love fill each class and is sure to inspire the entire family’s relationship. This bonding class is open to parents and children of all ages, extended family, and love ones! Aromatherapy Make and Take

This class will offer an introduction into the world of Aromatherapy (The science of Essential Oils).

Learn how to use essential oils in making great products and gifts.

Participants will also learn the theory and science behind Aromatherapy, the uses of essential oils for daily health and will make two different hand crafted bath salts to take home and use. You will learn the art and science of nature’s amazingly inspiring and sensual therapeutic organic essential oils for health, well being and “scentuality”!

This is an interactive and informative workshop to offer a glimpse into this profound and holistic modality.

Participants will make their own spa quality bath salts/sugar scrubs with the help and guidance of Taylor Duncan, a Heal Center Certified Aromatherapist.

Posture Lab

May 14th and 15th

When you align you shine! Aligning the body is the first step aligning the body, mind, and spirit all together. This workshop will focus on proper alignment in all of the main standing poses from the warrior series to triangle pose! Learn exactly where each part of the body should be in these poses, why it matters, and different tricks to check your alignment! Changing the way you practice, not only the only the standing poses, but every postures.

Yoga Essentials 101

This two and half hour workshop is perfect for practitioners of all levels who are seeking to deepen their knowledge of this beautiful ancient practice. We will explore the eight limbs of yoga as well as some brief history and philosophy, which will later be incorporated into a full yogic sequence. This workshop will include but is not limited to Pranayama (breathing practices), Asanas (physical postures), Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation), and Dhyana (meditation).Register for the workshop

Girl’s Yoga Week

The teenage years are an in-between time that is heaped in change. Yoga offers teens a way to find a stable ground as well as acceptance of these life changes. This class empowers the individual, strengthens the body, flexes the imagination, and adds a spark of creativity. Teens establish a meditation practice that relaxes as well as stimulates the mind to be taken into young adulthood. This week will provide these girls with  opportunities to build self-esteem and promote healthy body image as well as tools for coping with stress and peer pressure in a fun, non-competitive, non-judgmental environment.Register for the workshop
